What is ASME? The acronym, ASME, stands for the American Society of Mechanical Engineering. ASME is a professional society for engineers and technicians who are working in the fields related to engineering. ASME at the U of M is a student run organization. Through ASME, you can participate in activities such as student projects, industry tours, guest lectures, study groups, intramural sports, establish internship connections, and much more.
