Meet Our Officers

 

Chair, Dmitriy, 18, is working towards an Electric Engineering degree from the University of Washington, He has been attending GRCC for one year through the Running Start program since 11th grade and will transfer to the University of Washington from GRCC in one year after graduating high school. Dmitriy likes to play tennis and most other physical activities, like sports, working out, or just being outside (as long as there's something to do) etc. He also enjoys loafing around. Vice-Chair, Joshua Furner

 

 

Secretary, Andrea, 40, Started college 20 years after graduating high school. Her love of math and science brought her back to the Engineering program. She is headed to the University of Washington as a Chemical Engineering student, seeking a minor in physics. School is much more fun the second time around.

 

 

 

 

Treasurer, Devon, 22, Is attending College to become a Civil Engineer. Once he has completed his time at Green River, he is planning on attending the University of Washington in the fall. He Loves to go heli-skiing, and driving fast. Devon's father has a masters in Civil Engineering from New York.

 

 

 

Auxiliary, Matthew, 22, is studying to become an Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineer of sort, and plans on transferring to Washington State University. He has great interest in auto racing and would like to work in the aerodynamics field. He also loves to drive fast, and rally racing. He is also the club webmaster. Faculty Advisor, Jeff, A Washington State native, graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey CA with a MS in Mechanical Engineering. He served over twenty years as an Engineering Duty Officer in the US Navy before joining the faculty at GRCC in 1992., He is the Chair of the Technology Division, past president of the Washington Council for Engineering and Related Technical Education (WCERTE), a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Engineering Educators. And pretty much just a cool Instructor.
