ASME was founded in 1880 in an effort to promote the industry of mechanical  engineering.  ASME strives to create a society that promotes the education, technology, and research of mechanical engineering.  We are a group that is here to better the profession of mechanical engineering so that we may continue to solve the worlds problems in an ethical, professional, and unselfish way.  Most importantly, ASME is here for you, to provide you with the tools, information, and support to become a professional in the mechanical engineering industry.
